Casts From the Past XXXI

Casts From the Past is a recurring retrospective of select Palladio GFRG projects.

Acanthus leaves adorn a forest of Corinthian capped columns, awaiting their replanting at a residential project in South Dakota.

A Zbrush screenshot recreates an urn that will adorn a theatre’s proscenium arch. This will be uploaded to the client for approval before any hands-on work commences.

A good ol’ before-and-after of a pilaster capital that was restored from shattered remnants.

We hope this bit of gorgeousness doesn’t distract the audience once it’s installed at its new home: a Times Square theater. 😉

We love New York! Especially once Times Square receives yet another restorative piece of Palladio plasterwork in the form of this large cornice.
